Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool works night shifts, providing compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs, evaluates responses, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Offers primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to create care plans.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Must have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills and knowledge of quality improvement principles.
Responsible for safeguarding sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA and related regulations.
