Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate, patient-centered care during night shifts, following physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing treatments and tests.
They assess and interpret diagnostic tests, evaluate patient needs, and apply sound nursing judgment for care decisions.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care.
Supervises ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential.
The role requires adherence to confidentiality and information protection policies.
