Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, assessing patient needs, and providing emergency and primary care.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and execute care plans, directing ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Requires a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree in nursing, a valid NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.
Must have 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Role involves handling sensitive information, adhering to privacy regulations, and supporting quality improvement efforts.
