Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate patient care, demonstrating kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents accordingly.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop patient care plans and guides ancillary personnel to maintain professional standards.
The role involves handling sensitive information securely, following HIPAA and relevant regulations, ensuring access is limited to what is necessary for duties.
