Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Evaluates patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and guide patient care plans.
Maintains professional standards and guides ancillary staff.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required.
