Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides compassionate patient care and supports a positive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments and tests.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential.
The role involves safeguarding sensitive information according to policies and regulations.
