Job Description

The Night Hospitalist RN in the Medical/Surgical department assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborates with the team to develop and execute individualized care plans.
  • Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
    The role requires handling sensitive information per privacy regulations, ensuring access is based on a “need to know” basis and safeguarding data from unauthorized access.
