Job Description
The Night Medical/Surgical Hospitalist RN assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and tests, documenting all as required.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, both occupational and non-occupational.
Collaborates with the nursing team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Guides ancillary staff, ensuring professional nursing standards are maintained.
The role requires compliance with confidentiality and privacy regulations, protecting sensitive health information and ensuring proper access based on job needs.
