The Night Medical/Surgical Hospitalist RN assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments, procedures, and tests, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Evaluates patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Administers medications as ordered and collaborates on creating a Plan of Care.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
The role involves handling sensitive information responsibly, respecting privacy and confidentiality regulations.
