The Medical/Surgical Hospitalist RN assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions and responds accordingly.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Directs ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
The role requires handling sensitive information with confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and other regulations.
