The Registered Professional Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborates with the nursing team to develop personalized care plans.
  • Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
    This role requires access to sensitive information, with strict adherence to confidentiality policies, including HIPAA regulations.
