Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) works night shifts, providing compassionate patient care and fostering a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and document care per policies and regulations.
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assess patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment in decision-making.
Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborate with the team to develop patient care plans and guide ancillary staff, maintaining professional standards.
This role requires handling sensitive information securely, in compliance with HIPAA and applicable laws, ensuring access is on a âneed to knowâ basis.
