Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) works night shifts to provide compassionate patient care.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, and performs treatments and tests.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, using sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care.
Guides ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
The role emphasizes kindness, active listening, and valuing each team member’s contribution, with a focus on maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations.
