Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Hematology/Oncology provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing needs throughout the care episode, focusing on discharge planning and transitions.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care according to regulations.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as prescribed.
Collaborates with the team to develop and execute patient care plans, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred prior experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
The role requires commitment to quality, continuing education, and adherence to confidentiality and data protection policies.
