Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in Hematology/Oncology Night shift manages patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge planning and care transitions.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care according to regulations.

  • Assesses and interprets diagnostic tests, evaluates patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment.

  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care.

  • Supervises ancillary staff, maintains professional standards, and ensures compassionate, competent patient care.

  • Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.

  • Must adhere to privacy regulations and protect sensitive patient information.
