Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery department provides comprehensive patient care throughout the hospital stay, focusing on discharge planning and care coordination.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assessing patient needs.
Provides primary and emergency care, collaborates on care plans, and guides ancillary staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
