Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Post Cardiothoracic Surgery provides coordinated patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions within acute care.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assessing patient needs.
Collaborates with the care team to develop and guide the Plan of Care, ensuring compassionate, competent care for patients in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational skills, and knowledge of quality improvement are essential.
The role requires adherence to confidentiality standards and regulatory guidelines.
