Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery unit assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transition points.
Provides coordinated, compassionate care to inpatients, outpatients, and community patients, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care activities.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies clinical judgment for care decisions.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow patient care plans and guides auxiliary staff.
Qualifications include RN license, 1-3 years of clinical experience, BLS and ACLS certification, and strong communication and organizational skills.
The role emphasizes maintaining patient safety, quality improvement, and confidentiality of sensitive information.
