Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery department assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and transitions.
Responsible for implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting care.
Orders and evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and provides primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans, guides ancillary staff, and ensures quality standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are required. This role may involve handling sensitive information and adhering to privacy regulations.
