Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Post Cardiothoracic Surgery provides comprehensive patient care, coordinating and managing patient needs throughout their hospital stay and transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, interpreting diagnostic tests, and assessing patient responses.
Provides primary and emergency care, collaborates with the team to create care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Requires excellent communication, organization, and knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves ensuring patient safety, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to regulatory standards.
