Job Description
This Clinical Nurse role in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery department involves assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments and tests, and documenting care.
Evaluates diagnostic results, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care decisions.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required.
The role involves handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
