Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Post Cardiothoracic Surgery department works night shifts, assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, evaluating diagnostic tests, and providing primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans, directs ancillary staff, and ensures high standards of nursing practice.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves handling sensitive patient information with strict confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations.
