Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the General Pediatrics department provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, starting IVs, and documenting care.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff to maintain professional standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
The role involves handling sensitive information in accordance with privacy regulations.
