Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Vascular Surgery assesses, plans, and manages patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and care transitions.
Provides compassionate, competent care to patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Care for patients with complex co-morbidities, including post-amputation, vascular wounds, and blood flow restoration surgeries, with training in wound care, Telemetry, and central lines.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs and responses, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care, collaborates on care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, with preferred experience as a PCA or nursing assistant.
Supports quality improvement through ongoing education and adherence to privacy regulations.
