Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Vascular Surgery unit assesses, plans, coordinates, and manages patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions.
Provides compassionate, competent care to patients, families, and staff across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Cares for patients with complex vascular conditions, including amputations and wounds, with training provided in wound care, IVs, and telemetry.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and evaluates diagnostic tests.
Collaborates with the team to develop and execute individualized care plans, while guiding ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, valid RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and prior nursing or PCA experience.
Maintains knowledge of quality improvement principles and adheres to information privacy regulations.
