Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments and tests, and documenting care.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborates on care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Minimum 1-3 years RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication and organizational skills.
The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
