Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and evaluating diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Offers primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.
Must have 1-3 years of clinical Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Possesses strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills.
The role involves maintaining patient safety, confidentiality, and adhering to regulatory standards.
