Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment for both primary and emergency situations.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow individualized care plans, guiding ancillary staff as needed.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, and a current NYS RN license.
Must have 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with BLS/ACLS certifications.
Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential. This role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
