Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Infectious Disease Med/Surg Unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs and responses, applying sound judgment for care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, and a current NYS RN license.
Must maintain BLS and ACLS certifications, with 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Possesses strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills. The role involves handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations.
