Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in Elective Orthopedics provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs, evaluates responses, and applies sound nursing judgment to manage care.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care.
Supervises ancillary staff, maintains professional standards, and documents treatments accurately.
Requires a nursing diploma, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
