Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the General Surgery/Trauma unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and evaluating diagnostic tests.
They assess patient needs and responses, exercise sound nursing judgment, and deliver primary/emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care, guiding ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Qualifications include a nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate), current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Excellent communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are essential. The role may involve handling sensitive information in compliance with privacy laws.
