Job Description

The Clinical Nurse in the General Surgery/Trauma unit provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, and documents care in compliance with regulations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
  • Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
  • Collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.
  • Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and quality improvement skills are required.
