Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the General Surgery/Trauma unit provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting care.
Responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic tests, assessing patient needs, making sound nursing judgments, and delivering primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to create and follow a Plan of Care, directing ancillary staff and maintaining professional standards.
Qualifications include a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate nursing degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.
The role requires adherence to privacy standards and regulations, ensuring sensitive information is protected.
