Job Description
The Night Emergency Department Clinical Nurse provides compassionate patient care through active listening and kindness, contributing to a supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment in care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.
Collaborates with the team to develop and execute patient care plans, guiding ancillary staff, and maintaining professional standards.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, a current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Minimum 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles and problem-solving tools is essential.
