Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides compassionate patient care, demonstrating kindness and active listening.
Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and documents accordingly.
Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
Assesses patient needs and responses to care, applying sound nursing judgment.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop patient care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate Degree, a valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and 1-3 years clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
Must have excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with knowledge of quality improvement principles.
This role may involve handling sensitive information, requiring adherence to confidentiality and privacy regulations.
