Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Emergency Department provides compassionate, patient-centered care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and evaluating diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs, responds to care requirements, and uses sound judgment for decision-making.
Offers primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborating with the team to develop and follow a Plan of Care.
Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.
Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, a current NYS RN license, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Preferably has 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Maintains confidentiality and adheres to privacy regulations, ensuring access to sensitive information is protected and used appropriately.
