Job Description
The clinical Nurse in the Float Pool provides compassionate patient care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and documenting care according to regulations.
They interpret diagnostic tests, assess patient needs, and apply sound nursing judgment in care management.
Provides primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses, collaborates with the team to develop care plans, and guides ancillary staff.
Requires a nursing diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree, current NYS RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.
Must have 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care, with strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
The role involves handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards.
