Job Description

The Charge Nurse Med Surg oversees daily operations of the department to ensure high-quality patient care while meeting organizational and regulatory standards.

  • Manages staff and resources independently under the guidance of a Nurse Manager/Director.

  • Ensures compliance with JCAHO, Nurse Practice Act, and other regulations.

  • Promotes efficient, cost-effective healthcare delivery within budget.

  • Requires an accredited nursing degree, with preference for a bachelor’s or master’s in nursing, and at least 1 year of RN experience.

  • Must hold valid licensure, certification, or registration, including CPR.
