Job Description

The Clinical Support Nurse at “STAT” level responds to urgent medical situations 24/7, providing specialized critical care across various hospital units.

  • Responsibilities include assessing patient health, implementing nursing interventions, stabilizing decompensating patients, managing ICU patients, and facilitating transfers to higher care levels.
  • Responds to codes such as stroke, STEMI, and emergency events, and provides staff training like MOCK code drills.
  • Uses physical exams, collaborates with teams, and follows protocols to ensure patient safety and effective care.
  • Requires a nursing degree, current NY RN licensure, at least 3 years ICU experience, and BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Role involves handling sensitive patient information per HIPAA and privacy standards.
