Job Description
The STAT Clinical Support Nurse provides critical, rapid response care across hospital units, including ICU and Emergency Department.
Responsibilities include assessing patient health changes, implementing interventions, stabilizing decompensating patients, managing ICU patients, and facilitating transfers to higher care levels.
Responds to emergency codes (e.g., Code Blue, Stroke, STEMI) and supports staff with mock code training.
Uses physical exams and protocols to evaluate and treat patients, administers IV medications, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams.
Requires a nursing degree, NY RN license, minimum 3 years ICU experience, and BLS/ACLS certification.
Must possess strong communication, problem-solving, and reasoning skills, and be able to interpret clinical documentation and hospital policies.
This role involves handling sensitive information per HIPAA and privacy standards.
