Job Description
The Clinical Support Nurse at the STAT level provides critical care support across hospital units, including ICU and Emergency Department, responding to various emergency codes and medical situations.
Responsibilities include assessing patient health changes, implementing interventions to maintain homeostasis, stabilizing decompensating patients, managing ICU patients, and facilitating transfers to higher care levels.
They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate staff and families on recognizing deterioration, and conduct mock code training.
Requirements include RN licensure in New York, at least three years of recent ICU experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
The role involves independent judgment, adherence to protocols, and maintaining patient safety and confidentiality within hospital policies.
