EchoStar is seeking a Sr Avionics Engineer for our Hughes Network Systems division, a leader in satellite products and services. This role involves designing electrical systems and avionics for connectivity solutions, collaborating with Certification, PMO, Supply Chain, and vendors to ensure compatibility with commercial aircraft. Responsibilities:

• Electrical System Design: Create specifications and diagrams for electrical systems.
• Component Selection: Source reliable electrical components.
• System Integration: Work with teams to integrate systems into aircraft design.
• Testing and Validation: Develop test plans and analyze results.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to aviation standards.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7-10 years of aviation-focused electrical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and design methodologies.
• Familiarity with the STC process.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
