Job Description
–Registered Nurse, RN – ICU
Shift: PRN Tier II (Minimum 1 shift/week, 2 weekend shifts/month, 2 holidays/year)
*Requires a minimum of 18 months of RN hospital experience*
Position Summary:
- Administers medications, collects specimens, and provides clinical treatments as part of the care plan.
- Documents all patient care activities.
- Monitors and communicates patient conditions to the care team, physician, and family.
- Identifies changes in patient status and prioritizes urgent issues.
- Assists patients with daily living activities, including hygiene and nutrition.
- Coordinates care across disciplines for transfers, discharges, and support needs.
- Evaluates and educates patients and families based on their needs.
- Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
- Preferred experience in an acute care setting.
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within one year of employment.
