Position Description:

The Charge Nurse oversees patient care, staffing, and staff development, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while providing bedside care as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Leadership experience preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Oregon RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
• 2 years relevant clinical experience preferred
• ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire
• Competent in rhythm identification

Essential Job Functions:

• Collaborate with hospital leads and charge nurses
• Ensure adherence to policies and regulations
• Utilize the Nursing Process for all age groups
• Manage staffing based on patient acuity
• Coordinate breaks and relief assignments
• Assist in orienting new staff
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback
• Promote new ideas and projects
