Job Description

This RN Emergency position involves providing direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with professional standards.

  • Reports to the Emergency Department Director and requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred), active RN license in TX, and certifications in ACLS, BCLS, PALS, and NIHSS (within 90 days).
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-stress environment, with computer proficiency.
  • Key responsibilities include administering medications, collecting specimens, documenting care, monitoring patient conditions, assisting with daily activities, and collaborating across disciplines for patient transfers, discharges, and support.
  • Provides patient and family education tailored to individual needs, advocates for patient well-being, and works to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
