Job Description
The Clinical Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Hospitalist department provides comprehensive patient care, focusing on progress towards discharge and transitions within the hospital stay.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, performing treatments, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
Assesses patient needs, applies sound nursing judgment, and provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
Collaborates with the team to develop Care Plans and guides ancillary staff.
Qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and prior nursing experience preferred.
Must demonstrate commitment to quality improvement and adhere to confidentiality and privacy standards.
