Job Description

The Float Pool RN provides care across medicine, post-surgical, and emergency departments during night shifts, with a salary range of $72,072.00 – $74,229.26.

  • Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care throughout their stay, focusing on discharge progress and transitions.

  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, perform treatments, and document accordingly.

  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests; assess patient needs and responses to care.

  • Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administering medications as ordered.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and guide patient care plans, directing ancillary staff.

  • Must have a valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, including ICU or telemetry.

  • Continuing education and knowledge of quality improvement are essential.

  • Role involves handling sensitive information, with adherence to privacy laws and policies.
