Job Description
This RN position in Vascular Surgery involves assessing, coordinating, and managing patient care throughout their hospital stay, focusing on progress toward discharge and care transitions.
Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and documenting care.
Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for both primary and emergency care.
Collaborates with the team to develop a Plan of Care and guides ancillary staff, ensuring quality standards.
Minimum qualifications include a nursing diploma or degree, current RN license, BLS/ACLS certification, and 1-3 years of Med-Surg or Progressive Care experience.
Work involves caring for vascular and surgical patients, often with multiple co-morbidities, aged 18-90+.
The role requires strong communication, organization, and adherence to confidentiality and regulatory standards.
