Job Description
The Vascular Surgery Night Clinical Nurse assesses, plans, directs, and manages patient care, focusing on discharge readiness and transitions within the acute stay.
Provides coordinated, compassionate care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Performs treatments, administers medications, interprets diagnostic tests, and responds to patient needs using sound nursing judgment.
Collaborates with the team to develop care plans and guides ancillary staff.
Requires graduation from a recognized nursing program, current NYS RN license, BLS, ACLS certifications, and preferred experience as a PCA or nurse assistant.
Knowledge of quality improvement principles and ongoing education is essential.
The role involves caring for patients with complex conditions such as amputations and vascular wounds, with ongoing training provided.
