Job Description

The RN in the Operating Room assesses, plans, directs, and manages surgical patient care throughout their stay, advocating for patients during procedures.

  • Responsibilities include implementing physician orders, administering medications, evaluating patient needs, applying sound nursing judgment, guiding staff, and ensuring compassionate care.
  • Qualifications include a current NYS RN license, BLS certification, and 1-3 years of surgical experience preferred. A Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree in nursing is required.
  • The OR features 35 advanced suites with robotic technology and specialized rooms for various surgeries, including hybrid and intraoperative CT suites.
  • Role requires adherence to privacy regulations and safeguarding sensitive information.
